The database has been around for 25 years and was built and owned by Graeme Whiteley of Excalibur Direct Marketing, which Direct To Business Limited purchased in April 2002.

The database is telephone updated by a small and dedicated team of UK based tele-workers. New data is added from various sources such as Companies House data.
